Children - as we hear the word, we feel joyful and happy and of course, they are the most beautiful creations of God!  They are loved for their innocent smile and pure heart.  As a tribute to Pt. Jawaharlal Nehruji, who was fond of children, we celebrate 14th November as Children's day.  As Nehruji is believed to have said, "the children of today will make the India of tomorrow.  The way we bring them up determines the future of the country."  Thus these colorful little clays can be moulded into a beautiful monument who will add value to the nation.  Parents and teachers play an important role in bringing up the future generation.  The education we provide them not only helps in improving their knowledge, but also teaches them to be humane and kind.

As experienced by most of us, the only way to reform children is to win them with unconditional love.  Children replicate every step of their elders.  Their tone, body language and all other expressions are absorbed by the kids.  Henceforth, we should choose words carefully and be compassionate.  Always our words and behaviour should boost their self-esteem.  Though they are known to make mistakes or misbehave, make them understand that everyone makes mistakes and that we still love them, even when we don’t like their behaviour.

Our love, hugs and compliments work wonders on them and have a great impact on their behaviour.  Most importantly we need to inculcate discipline in every household.  Establishing house rules helps them to understand our expectations and also helps to develop self-control.  Setting rules one day and relaxing it the next day won’t work.  Being consistent teaches the discipline we expect.

In spite of our busy schedule, it is compulsory to spend quality time with kids especially during breakfast or dinner.  Kids who are not getting attention from elders often act extremely or misbehave so that they could be noticed that way.

It is easier to guide strong children than to repair broken adults.  Thus it is in our hands to shape the torch bearers of the future as Children are the future of our nation.  Let's join hands for their welfare, to better their education and provided them with a happy childhood.  It’s your day Children! Enjoy and always try to give your best.

Wishing all the kids a very happy children's day!
