The story is about Matilda, a little girl who was wasn't taken care by her own parents. She loved reading books and she read lots and lots of them. She was only 4 years old when she learnt to do things that people in their early thirties did. She goes to a school which has the meanest Principal, where she accidentally discovers that she possesses a super power. There she also finds a kind teacher who appreciates her mathematical skills.

Ms Trunchbull's mean and terrible punishments are scary and hard to watch. She would do anything – even murder, to control the students studying in her school.

The movie has a happy ending however we were not satisfied cause we wanted to know more about what happens to Matilda after she found a loving and caring household – although we spent lot of time imagining how it would be.

Characters we like and why: We like Matilda’s character but also felt sorry for her. We were happy when she discovered that she had the super power. Ms Honey is another character we liked due to her kindness and concern for Matilda. She is a very smart and understanding towards her students. This quality is seen when she notices Matilda's intelligence. Both the super power and a teacher like Ms Honey are something we would like to have or be in our lives.

Ms Trunchbull was the meanest person and it was easy to not like her. She made us squirm with her terrible, scary, punishments in the choky and grossest when she told Ms Honey "these chocolates are too sweet for children like you".

Message: Read lots of books and maybe we might also have a superpower like Matilda. If we had a superpower, we would use it only to do good things and do bad things only to those people who disturb the society, thereby protecting humanity. Be calm and kind like Ms Honey. Never be mean like Ms Trunchbull.
