Here are few interesting details of the inner view of the Museum of the Bible:
Out of three, the first floor is designed for Children with highlights ‘acts of courage’ depicted in the Bible and has a high-tech feature that projects a marine life with water space on the floor. Children can experience the illusion of walking in water while crossing the image.
The theatre was opened with the show ‘Amazing Grace’ which is a musical play played briefly on Broadway about John Newton, a slave trader and Anglican priest who wrote the Christian hymn of the show’s title.
The museum aims to highlight the influence of Bible on people. The lyrics and scripture of bible are displayed as videos on television screens explaining Bible verse with pop music and high fashion respectively. “Washington Revelations”, a motion simulator creates the sensation of flying over the nation’s capital to view Bible inscriptions and references in buildings and monuments throughout the city. A rooftop garden along with a glass-walled atrium provides clear views of the Washington Monument and the Capitol.
The entry is free for the museum with donations expected.
Guides with period costumes assist visitors throughout.
