"Necessity is the mother of Invention" 

When a necessity arises we are bound to welcome new inventions which would fulfill our necessity. When we cut down trees to build our dream houses we never even think of their importance. Anything which is considered of less importance we throw them away. Similarly, when the trees are cut down for our usage by us Mother Nature wanted it back which was the result of a disaster like " Vardah"

As a result of tree cuttings its unbearable heat, no shade, lack of Oxygen, lack of rainfall etc everywhere make us realize their importance. But sill we have not realised the importance of trees and continue the same for our own benifit of lifestyle. 

In rural areas people are realising it and are trying to revive the green nature. 

6 students from rural areas have been motivated to preserve nature and have come out with an excellent INVENTION. These students are from Tamilnadu Panchayat Union Middle School, Pudupalayam who have designed an eco - friendly use and throw pen.

The invention is the effect of the thought of non usage of plastic pens which are non degradable to contaminate the soil and nature.

Six students Dhanraj, Dhanush, Manoj Kumar, Jothipriya, Shankar, and Tamilselvan have invented the organic pen with the help of their teacher S. Dinesh.

Organic Pen- Design

The body of the pen is made from Plantain leaf, Papaya leaf stem, Coconut leaf and Castor stem, a nib is fixed at one end of the stem. The other end is sealed with maida starch to hold the ink.

The inventors have ensured that the pen can be used for a few months before discarding and even after discarding it is not a waste because it transforms to organic manure later.

The students of the Panchayat School have  been using this pen for a long time now.

The Tamilnadu Science forum has already reviewed the pen and it is expected soon to be submitted for the National Science Congress 2017.
