Being a theatre artist I believe that a good actor should have plenty of experiences in life, because an actor who has undergone various life situations and emotions can depict the life of various characters. Hence the audience can relate their life experiences or emotions, through which their life moved, through the actor. Actors are normally of two kinds, one being the character given to him or her and other who shows the character only while they act, only physically without adopting the character mentally. According to me living the character is the toughest part for an actor and to attain the level of satisfaction an actor goes through various processes to adopt the character physically and psychologically too, and in some cases the actor finds it difficult to come out of the character and  lead a normal life.

A good and dedicated actor is not a person who just delivers the dialogue in the script given to him/her, rather they research about the character in detail like age, economic status, marital status,habits and many more which can help the actor to know more about the character given to them. A detailed study will be conducted by actors to get into the character and the act, and this basically gives a theatre student so much discipline and perfection in their life and all other things that they do. It’s a great challenge for an actor because acting in movies and in theatre are completely different, because acting in movies is more easy way as they shoot scene by scene repeatedly until the scene comes through perfectly and they can rectify their errors, but in theatre it is a direct encounter with your audience, actors in theatre have a great task - talking hours together being in character without dropping the emotions ,so many directors believe strongly that theatre actors are the better artists when compared to film artists .

 When talking about a good actor I definitely have to talk about Joaquin Phoenix, an actor who showed  enormous differences in the character in movies like Gladiator and Joker ,the man who showed two completely different men, the physical appearance  and the mental state of the person with pseudobulbar which Phoenix presented to us is an unbelievable piece of work. He was not just acting as a disorder person instead he was living the life of a pseudobulbar disorder person, the adoption of the character should be definitely appreciated, the hard work and dedication should be recognized and the world has always time to appreciate such an outstanding performer, and that has made him to earn an Oscar.
