Once upon a time, there lived a fairy queen mother, Azura, who ruled a magical land called “Bahurang”. Angels of all colours lived blissfully together and the queen loved all her subjects equally. The blue-eyed queen of bahurang sang sweetly and her fleet of angels danced and played the lute merrily, all day and all night. The magical land was filled with music and there was no place for hate. Every angel had a unique characteristic trait and colour, but their differences never came in the way of their friendship or togetherness. Flowers of chrysanthemum, lilies, daffodils and tulips blossomed everywhere in bahurang spreading their fragrance and adding colour to colours.
“Impish indigo,
“Boisterous Brown
“Radiant Rusty”
“Lovable Lavender”
“Brave Beige”
“Intelligent Ivory”
“Gregarious Grey”
“Joyful Jade”
“Perfect Pink”
“Alluring Aurelia” and
“Smart Saffron”
Every year, there was a ceremony of adding a new angel to the fleet. The fairy queen mother and her angels were more than excited to welcome a new angel to the magical land of bahurang.Every angel suggested a new colour, a new shade, but the queen had a different idea, Azura, wanted the new angel to be the lucky mascot of the land and spread happiness and the message of plurality to the world. She wanted to add a shade of all the angels and create “bahurang” the lucky mascot of the land. The angels were happy to welcome a part of their own.
Azura, twirled her wand and spelled the magical words
“Laal, Peela, Hara, Neela sab barabar sab barabar
Laal, Peela, Hara, Neela sab barabar sab barabar”
The magical dust from the wand spread in all directions and went up in the sky and formed a colourful bubble and “Tpppp”, the bubble broke and appeared “Bahurang”, transcending from cloud to cloud, flying for a while, it slowly landed in the land full of happy angels to be one amongst them. Azura and her fleet of angels were gleefully waiting to welcome “Bahurang”, but the new one’s eyes were searching for someone and were visibly disappointed.
With an assuring smile, azura expressed her happiness in welcoming bahurang and asked to share the cause of trouble. Bahurang, though excited to be in the magical land, was sad of not finding someone “similar”, all the angels were of different shades and the new one was “multicolour”. The fairy queen mother laughed and laughed and slowly levitated in the air to a height from where she can address all the angels including bahurang, “Dear Ones, please welcome our lucky mascot and give your new friend a big hug, let the magic spread”, Indigo stepped forward and tickled bahurang and gave a tight hug, shedding all inhibitions, bahurang laughed together with all the angels and to the surprise of everyone, after hugging indigo, bahurang also turned indigo. One after the other all the angels’ hugged bahurang and every time bahurang changed colours.
Bahurang does not belong to one but all the angels, the sense of universal belonging and diversity of colours and characteristics is the message from bahurang to the world. Azura and her fleet of angels along with their lucky mascot multiplied in colours and spread happiness, peace and love and the message of plurality in all the worlds for another thousand years.
