Wisdom
Once upon a time, there lived an extremely wealthy King. He was a very generous person. His most trusted advisor was known for his intelligence and his extra-ordinary ideas. The king had a great interest in glass artifacts. Day by day the king’s expensive glass artifacts collection increased. Now the king had a lot of different designs and styles. Each glass artifact had its own charm.
One day the king’s most trusted advisor suggested a brilliant idea to which the King agreed. The idea was to send one of the gorgeous glass artifact to the king’s best friend as a gift. The best friend was a king of the neighbouring kingdom. But, it was a long journey and the advisor had to go by foot. He decided to leave at sunrise the next day itself. By noon the sun was beating upon him and the glass was quite heavy, so in the afternoon he decided to take a nap under a shady tree for an hour. An hour passed and it was time to continue the trip on foot, he was sweating a lot. The advisor’s hands started slipping but he held onto the glass artifact firmly. But, soon he lost his grip and the glass artifact slipped and fell. It crashed to the ground and broke into a thousand pieces. The advisor was stunned. He immediately started to collect all the pieces and made sure that not a single piece was left. He had brought a basket to carry his water bottle and some food. An idea struck him! He thought of converting the broken glass pieces into a puzzle, that you could make into any shape or design. So, he ate the food and drank the water and filled it up with glass pieces. As soon as he was done, he walked swiftly as the load was much lighter and it was becoming dark. Soon he reached his destination. The king was delighted to receive the lovely gift and sent the advisor off with a letter. The king was utterly confused to read the letter as his best friend had mentioned about a puzzle. He questioned his advisor the next morning and the advisor recounted the whole incident. The king and all the courtiers chortled. So, that is how the big disaster was converted into a brilliant idea.
